About the VRDJ World Championship

The inaugural VRDJ World Championship is a worldwide, online DJ competition presented by Tribe XR, hosted by DMC. This event challenges DJs to showcase their skills using only virtual reality equipment, with the winner being officially announced at the DMC 40 World Championships in Tokyo.

A. How It Works

1. Submission Phase Each DJ must perform, record, and submit a 5–7 minute mix. Submissions are to be made via download link provided at least 1 week before competition close.

• Video Submissions under 5 minutes or exceeding 10 minutes will be disqualified.
• The EXTENDED submission deadline is now 11:59 PM PST on Wednesday October 1st, 2025.

1. Judging

• A panel of preliminary judges will review all submissions and select the Top 6 entries.
• A panel of professional industry judges will then review the Top 6.
• From this group, the judges will select the Top 2 finalists and choose the winner.

B. General Rules

✅ The competition is worldwide in scope. ✅ Contestants must be 13+ in age. ✅ There are no registration fees for competing DJs. ✅ Contestants must use Tribe XR virtual equipment only. All available virtual equipment within the Tribe XR application is fair game.

✅ Employees of Tribe XR, Inc. may not participate in the competition. ✅ Tribe XR reserves the right to modify rules for competition integrity.
